Re-Build:
The work I undertook at the Gilford, NH home owned by Robert and Linda Buckley was the most challenging of my career to date.
The Buckleys initially called to have the house completed. It had been rough framed and the roof shingles installed. After several walk through inspections it became clear there were several structural problems with the house. The most obvious issue was that the valley rafters cut correctly but placed on the wrong sides of the ridges, carrying beams installed sideways, and other issues. We came up with a plan to correct the issues with the assistance of HEB (www.hebcivil.com) a civil engineering firm. Several months later we had re-framed a high percentage of the structure including the roof. We were able to correct the problem without removing a single roof shingle which resulted in a significant cost savings. This project was and is still the topic of many conversations. This was a team effort that included the owner’s tenacity for product information and research, along with a great deal patience, that was instrumental in the job’s success.
