You and your significant other or even entire family will enjoy the neighbors flocking to the beach each evening to see the sunset, and the pelicans fishing are amusing to say the least. I was also able to witness a fellow from Virginia pat a manatee 15 yards from shore. His wife wasn t as impressed as I.
Along with this, several shops & restaurants are located inconspicuously across the street, including a favorite of mine, The Blue Dolphin CafÈ that has great food along with a super friendly staff.
Anna Maria Island is a short trip to the north, and the folks at St. Armand s circle and lido beach are to the south. Tampa, St. Petersburg, and the skyway bridge are about an hour and a half north.
The famous white sand of Siesta beach is thirty minutes south.
